CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE IN ATTESTATION LETTERS PROGRAM
COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
By checking this box, you hereby consent to allow St. Thomas University/the Post Secondary Relations (PSR) branch of the Department of Post-Secondary Education,
Training and Labour (PETL) New Brunswick, to collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:
• to determine and verify your identity;
• and to assist you in attaining a Provincial Attestation Letter.
You also consent to St. Thomas University sharing your issued Provincial Attestation Letter with our legal immigration services provider.
AUTHORITY FOR THE COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
The information you provide will be collected and used as set out in the “Right to Information and Protection of Privacy Act” (RTIPPA).
The information collected by the DLIs or PETL relates directly to, and is necessary for, the NB Attestation Letter Program mandated by the Federal Government of Canada.
The collection and usage of this information is authorized under Paragraph 37(2)(a) and 44(a) of the Act. The information collected will be saved for (7) years and
disposed of, following PETL’s Document and Record Management Policy. You may revoke this consent at any time; however, doing so will affect your eligibility to continue

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
To receive a Provincial Attestation Letter from New Brunswick, your respective DLIs will need to disclose your personal information with PETL to facilitate the review, processing and issuing of the Attestation Letters. PETL will share your personal information with a stakeholder MNP for development and managing the app/platform used in the project. PETL will equally share your personal information with IRCC for the following reasons as mandate by the Federal Government. • to determine and verify my identity; • and to confirm that the Province of New Brunswick has issued a Provincial Attestation Letter.
The information collected will be disclosed with the various stakeholders above as per SS46(1)(a.1)(b)(c.1)(p) of the Act.
